Kazbegi - One-of-a-kind destination.

    Kazbegi is located in the far-northern part of Georgia, around 12 kilometers away from the Russian border, almost directly north to Tbilisi. It lies within the historical Khevi province, which is now part of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. 


    It is seemingly a one-of-a-kind destionation. Gergeti Trinity Church - the country's most iconic place of worship, The Greater Caucasus - views of Europe's most impressive mountain range and the snow-capped crest of Georgia's third highest peak. Kazbegi offers all, as you take a deep breath of its fresh air.

    Even if you're no mountain climber, an easy hike-up to Gergeti could be your very reason for visiting Kazbegi, as you relax after reaching the destination, taking a deep breath of fresh air, watching over the view, which Gergeti respectively provides.

    The mountain peak that looms over Gergeti goes by two names - Mount Kazbek and Mount Kazbegi. In Georgian, however, it is called "Mkinvartsveri", which translates to "Glacier Peak". Among locals, the mountain is also nicknamed as "The Bride", merely because the top of the mountain is mostly covered up by a soft veil of fog.
